BYU Studies
Purpose: BYU Studies strives to serve all parts of Brigham Young University. It is dedicated to the correlation of revealed and discovered truth and to the conviction that the spiritual and the intellectual may be complementary and fundamentally harmonious avenues of knowledge. In exploring scholarly perspectives on LDS topics, BYU Studies seeks wisdom "by study and also by faith" (D&C 88:118) and at the same time recognizes that knowledge without charity is nothing (1 Cor. 13:2).
Scope: Contribution from all fields of learning are invited. BYU Studies strives to publish articles that openly reflect a Latter-day Saint point of view and are obviously relevant to subjects of general interest to Latter-day Saints, while conforming to high scholarly standards. This multidisciplinary journal has been published continuously by BYU since 1959. Its objective is to publish the best possible LDS scholarly journal, along with one or two major books a year, and occasional smaller monographs or special issues.
