BYU Foundation Documents

In the "Foundation Documents," LDS prophets and apostles discuss the unique role of Brigham Young University and the special responsibilities and opportunities entrusted to BYU faculty. These documents were compiled by Todd Britsch and Bruce Hafen and have been used by administrators, faculty, and others to clarify BYU's mission, provide guidelines for the Self-study, and increase discussion about the principles on which BYU was founded. The majority of these addresses have been recently compiled into a book: Educating Zion, edited by John W. Welch and Don Norton. (Provo, Utah: BYU Studies, 1996).
